Print the order slip and place with sample in a bag and drop off to the nearest Canada Post. Packed samples should weigh 15g max.
Collecting your soil sample
The process is simple
You will need a sandwich bag and a trowel or soil corer to retrieve three samples randomly taken from your target area. The samples should represent both good and bad situations depending on your context.
- 1) Locate an area just inside the dripline of a plant, and obtain a sample from approximately 4cm down in the root zone
- 2) Place a gram in the sandwich bag
- 3) Repeat this process for 3 different area
- 4) Seal the bag puffed up as much as possible with air inside. Do not blow air, close it without removing air
- 5) Place the bag in an appropriate sized box
